Some of my paintings and drawings can be seen here. I have a particular love of life drawing and a fascination with the forms of trees and their bark. I have also an interest in illustration especially in attempts to illustrate philosophical ideas. This started with cartoons to accompany my lectures. Some abstract philosophical ideas can be rendered clearly and simply through visual means, sometimes an illustration is just a supplement to a text or can help to advance understanding.
I benefitted from some very good art teaching at Wanstead High School and also at Stroud College and at the Canberra School of Art, where amongst other courses I took a class in the art of illustration.
